NARRATIVE:      Deputies responded to location for a report of a suspicious vehicle. On arrival deputies located a blue 2002 Dodge truck with one occupant. The driver was identified as John Paul Reynold Jr. As deputies questioned Reynold, they recalled Sheriff Hofmann had recently received tips on this vehicle and that it may have bad tags and had sent a BOLO to the staff yesterday.

After checking MVA records it was determined that the truck was unregistered, had false plates and that Reynold was driving suspended and revoked. Upon being taken into custody it was found that he was in possession of CDS (Not Marijuana) and several pieces of CDS paraphernalia. Additional search of the truck resulted in the seizure of a black duffle bag containing a large amount of jewelry, collector coins, foreign currency along with an iPod, video camera and tools.

Investigation following the stop resulted in locating the victims, Theresa & Paul Klaassen of Tulip Drive, Queenstown. It was further learned that Reynold had been working at the location. The victim also reported that an unknown amount of cash was missing from the residence.

Reynold was charged with Possession of CDS, 3 Counts of CDS Paraphernalia, three counts of burglary, Theft over $10K / under $100K, and numerous traffic charges.  He was held at the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center on a $25000 Bail.
