Fatal Shooting @ Grasonville Maryland

PRESS RELEASE

 

INCIDENT:           HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION

DATE / TIME:      02/21/2013 @ 1559 Hours

LOCATION:         300 Block of Sawmill Lane, Grasonville, MD

VICTIM:               Bryan James Flamer (18) of Grasonville, MD

ARREST:               Bruce Dareen Johnson  (18) of Queen Anne, MD

CHARGE:              Pending

 

NARRATIVE:        Following an altercation between the two males, a pistol was pulled with several shots fired with at least two striking the victim in the back. The victim fell  in the yard of a nearby residence. At that time the suspect ran from the location into a heavily wooded area. Emergency Medical personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to the nearby Queen Anne’s Emergency Center where he was pronounced dead. When the suspect exited the woods on the opposite side, several residents began to report seeing him. Deputies, with assistance from Maryland State Police units and aviation placed the suspect in custody at 1707 Hours. Bruce Dareen Johnson was transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters.

 

At this time personnel from the Sheriff’s Office remain at the crime scene, detectives at the Emergency Center with family members of the deceased and at Headquarters with the suspect.

 

Bruce Dareen Johnson at the time of the incident today was wanted on two unrelated warrants (1) Violation of Probation on a CDS (Marijuana) conviction issued 02/02/2013 and (2) Violation of Probation on a CDS (Marijuana) conviction issued on 2/19/2013.

 

The victim – Bryan James Flamer turned 18 today (2/21/2013).
