INCIDENT:           Theft

DATE/TIME:        10/02/2016 @ 1030 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         700 Block of Romancoke Road, Stevensville

 

DETAILS:              Victim reported that after a large party at her residence her diamond engagement ring was missing from her bedroom. The ring was described as a 2K round diamond on a platinum band valued at $41,000.

 

The theft has been assigned to the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit.

LOCATION:         200 Block of Aldots Lane, Sudlersville

 

DETAILS:              Victim reported having found that his log splitter was missing from a pole barn. The splitter was last seen about a month ago and described as a MDT with a Honda 5HP engine valued at $1000.

INCIDENT:           Residential Burglary

DATE/TIME:        10/03/2016 @ 1947 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         100 Block of Darden Road, Chestertown, MD (QA)

 

DETAILS:              Victim returned home from work and discovered someone had made entry into the house during the day and had located a lockbox containing $2000 cash. Nothing else was reported to be missing.

INCIDENT:           Bomb Threat / Arson Threat

DATE/TIME:        10/04/2016 @ 1125 Hours

LOCATION:         1925 Main Street, Chester, MD

 

DETAILS:              Deputies were called to the Safeway store after a report of a customer threatening to kill the employees, to blow the store up and to burn the store down.

The incident started when the suspect felt that the cashier wasn’t cashing his lottery tickets fast enough. The suspect is reported to have become belligerent, called the cashier a racial slur and then made threats of bombing and arson. Deputies on the scene obtained a description of the man and a broadcast was put out.

 

A short time later a caller from the Grasonville VFD advised the suspect may be in the rear parking lot of the fire company. Deputies responded and took the man into custody. A subsequent search revealed that man had 15-20 books of matches and small amount of black power wrapped in  t-shirt.

 

Michael Patrick Holliday (41) of Lutherville, MD was charged with Arson Threat and Disorderly Conduct and held on a $10,000 Bail which was posted the next day.

INCIDENT:           CDS POSSESSION

DATE/TIME:        10/05/2016 @ 1301 Hours

LOCATION:         Kent Landing Shopping Center, Stevensville

 

DETAILS:              A blue Toyota passenger car was observed making a minor traffic offense and upon a closer look it was noticed that the car had expired plates. Vehicle stopped on Thompson Creek Road and driver was identified as Mary Elizabeth Lord (52) of Arnold and she was advised of reason for the stop.

 

Deputy Piasecki arrived and completed a K9 scan of the car with a positive alert. Mary Lord stated that the passenger, who was her daughter, may have CDS in her purse. The purse was located and a search resulted in the seizure of a baggie with suspected heroin, several syringes and a cook spoon.

 

Amber Julia Lord (21) of Arnold was placed under arrest for CDS violations. A computer check indicated she was also wanted on two outstanding warrants in Anne Arundel County for Assault and Burglary.

 

Mary Lord was issued several traffic citations and released. Amber Lord was held on a $3500 in QA County which was posted. She was initially held in AA County on a $30,000 until that was posted.
