INCIDENT:          Burglary (Attempted)

DATE / TIME:     11/05/2013 @ 1700 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         300 Block of Round Top Road, Chestertown (QA)

VICTIM:              Ryan Walbert of Chestertown

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported around 0145 Hours he heard a rear patio door opening. Thinking it was his girlfriend he called out to her only to find her sleeping. A check of the door showed it to be open about a foot. Victim suspects the intruder was attempting to steal his girlfriend’s purse which was visible from outside.

 

While checking with neighbors, Dfc. Steenken was advised by Deborah Parkinson that someone had stolen about $10 of quarters from a Subaru parked in the driveway.

INCIDENT:          DWI Arrest

DATE / TIME:     11/05/2013 @ 2113 Hours

LOCATION:         RT 8 near Marine Academy Drive, Stevensville

 

ARREST:              Nanciemarie M. Lafferty (49) of Stevensville

CHARGE:            DWI / Resisting Arrest / Transporting a minor in a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol

 

NARRATIVE:       Vehicle was called in by an plain clothes Sheriff’s Unit reporting the van crossing the center line and then stopping on the shoulder. An uniformed deputy responded and pulled in behind the stopped van. Driver was identified as Nancymarie Lafferty by her MD license. While speaking with her, the deputy noticed an odor of alcohol on her breath and she admitted to having several beers. Driver was requested to attempt several field sobriety tasks and based on observations was placed under arrest. While she was being placed under arrest, she began to resist. Once in custody she was transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. She was later released on her own recognizance.

INCIDENT:          Theft of Motor Vehicle

DATE / TIME:     11/06/2013 @ 2200 Hours

LOCATION:         Log Canoe Circle, Stevensville

VICTIM:              RJ Beasley Electric

 

NARRATIVE:       Owner of the business reported missing the businesses 1995 Ford F-150 Pickup. The truck had been parked in front of the business, was white and has a lightning bolt on each side. The next day the owner called and advised the truck had been returned and parked over night in front of the business. No damages were reported and it’s unknown who had the truck.

DATE / TIME:     11/07/2013 @ 1333 Hours

LOCATION:         1200 Block of Little Creek Road, Chester

VICTIM:              John Cornelius Pilling of Chester

 

NARRATIVE:       Sheriff’s Office was advised that a Red & Black Honda power washer had been taken from a shed at the residence sometime between October 27th and November 7th. The power washer was valued at $650.

INCIDENT:          Medical Emergency

DATE / TIME:     11/07/2013 @ 1747 Hours

LOCATION:         Stevensville

VICTIM:              Male  (36) of Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:       Deputies responded to a residence in the Stevensville area for a subject attempting to harm himself by overdosing and taping a plastic bag over his head. The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
