INCIDENT:          Theft / Burglary

DATE / TIME:     11/11/2013 @ 0854 Hours

LOCATION:         Mariners Way, Stevensville, MD

VICTIM:              Sandra J. Taylor of Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported being out of town for several days and upon returning noticed several items in her bedroom had been moved. Further checking she discovered several thousands of dollars and checks missing. No sign of any forced entry was found however a family member had friends over while she was gone. Investigation remains open.

LOCATION:         Pine Ridge Court, Church Hill

VICTIM :             Anny Dai and Michelle Yu from Church Hill

 

NARRATIVE:       The two victims reported cash from their wallets and backpacks to be missing. The victims, who are exchange students believe the theft occurred at their “Host Moms” residence. Approximately $800 is missing. Investigation continues.

VICTIM:              K-Mart

NARRATIVE:       Store security stopped a 25 year old Stevensville woman as she was leaving the store with unpaid merchandise. The woman had been observed placing items into a K-Mart she had in her purse. The suspect had two wallets, two bootie sets, three Redskin shirts, men’s shorts and several house hold items with a total value of $165.00.

 

The woman returned to the store with security personnel and was later released by responding deputies with charges pending.

LOCATION:         Oregon Road, Stevensville

VICTIM:              Gordon C. Carlton Jr. of Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported returning home from work and finding several DVDs in his driveway. A check of his residence revealed a 48 inch television, a Sony receiver, numerous DVDs and an estimated $500 in change missing. The estimated loss was $2900.

INCIDENT:          Unauthorized Use of MV / Driving Suspended

LOCATION:         Grasonville Terrace, Grasonville

 

ARREST:              Tashaya Raeshon Turner (34) of Greensboro , MD

CHARGE:            Driving while Suspended – Driving without Current Tags – Displaying Registration Plate issued to another MV

 

NARRATIVE:       Deputies were called to location for a suspicious vehicle, a 2006 Audi with Delaware plates. The vehicle was observed leaving Grasonville Terrace and was stopped on Chester River Beach Road. The driver was identified as Tashaya Turner by a Maryland driver’s license. She was unable to provide a registration for the vehicle and offered several explanations of ownership.

 

A check of the status of the driver indicated she was suspended in both Maryland and by Delaware for failure to pay citations. The last known owner of the vehicle was contacted and advised that she had turned the car into a dealership over a year ago to satisfy a debt. Since then the former owner stated she had been notified of over $300 in toll violations all over Maryland.

 

Ms. Turner was placed under arrest and later held at the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center on a $1500 Bond. The Audi was impounded until the proper owner can be identified.

LOCATION:         Washington Drive, Stevensville

VICTIM:              Roger Tarr of Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:       The victim was returning home which is located at the end of Washington Road off of RT 8 in Stevensville. As he turned onto the street a vehicle was seen turning from Washington onto Bay Drive. The victim stopped the subjects who appeared to be in a hurry and stated they had taken a wrong turn.

 

When the victim went into his house he discovered three jewelry boxes missing from the bedroom. The boxes were described as hand carved one with wolves, one with an eagle and the third made of marble with Ivory. Some of the contents were silver bracelets, a gold horse shoe with diamonds, Harley Davidson Pins, a gold pendant with turquoise necklace from Peru, a silver and amber bracelet from Poland, a Harley Davidson ring,  and a silver turtle with jade and turquoise.

 

The suspects were driving a black Chevrolet believed to be a Cavalier. The driver was described as a white male between the ages of 18-23 with a round face, smaller build with light colored hair in a “Buzz Cut”. The second suspect who was seated in the rear seat was a white male also believed to be 18-23 years of age with longer hair.

LOCATION:         Carriage Lane, Queenstown

VICTIM:              Christa Hill of Queenstown

ARREST:              Lawrence Kemp Chambers (48) of Queenstown

CHARGE:            Assault 2nd Degree

 

NARRATIVE:       Deputies responded to location for a domestic. On arrival they met with the victim who had signs of minor injuries and she stated she had been choked, bit and kicked by her boyfriend.

 

The suspect was in a rear bedroom with the door blocked. In order to enter the room, the door had to be forced open and the suspect was taken into custody. After charges were completed, a District Court Commissioner held him on a $5000 Bond.

LOCATION:         RT 50 @ RT 456, Queenstown

NARRATIVE:       A purple Honda Civic was stopped for equipment violations by Cpl. Hampton. The driver was a 24 year old Greensboro woman with two passengers. During the traffic stop the car was scanned by a Sheriff’s K9 and possible CDS was indicated. A search of the car resulted in the seizure of syringes, spoons, rope and capsules with suspected heroin residue from a purse containing the driver’s and a passengers ID cards.

 

Subjects were released at the scene with charges pending lab results.

CHARGE:            Driving on a suspended license

 

NARRATIVE:       Blue Ford pickup stopped for speeding with the driving being identified as Kevin W. R. Rader. MVA records indicated he was suspended in Maryland. Rader was taken into custody, processed at Sheriff’s Headquarters and later released by a District Court Commissioner.

LOCATION:         300 Block of Longfellow Drive, Chestertown (QA)

VICTIM:              Scott Rowsell of Chestertown

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported someone had stolen his iPod and DVD player from his unlocked Toyota Camry. Victim later located his DVD player in a nearby ditch. Items were valued at $50.
