INCIDENT:           Theft from Vehicle

LOCATION:         Kent Island

 

DETAILS                Victim reported the theft of his Canon SLR Camera and lens from his Land Rover. The victim stated it could have been taken while the vehicle was parked at McDonalds on Castle Marina Road or in Kent Town Market. Victim also stated the camera was discovered to be missing on the 6th but waited to make the report so he could check his residence in Grasonville. The Camera was valued at $1500.

LOCATION:         100 Block of Needwood Farm Lane, Centreville / Outlets, Queenstown

 

DETAILS:              Employee of Ericsson reported the theft of 20 12Volt cell tower batteries from the site.  Due to the condition of the battery cases, it appeared that the theft took place an extended time ago. Each battery has a value of $820 each.

 

A second tower location at the Outlets in Queenstown was also discovered to be missing batteries. At this location 16 batteries were gone and again it appeared that the theft had occurred at a much earlier date.

INCIDENT:           Burglary

DATE / TIME:      12/09/2015 @ 2034 Hours

LOCATION:         300 Block of Claiborne Fields Drive, Centreville

 

DETAILS:              Victim advised upon returning home after being away several days, she noticed a rear door ajar and looked in to the interior of the house. Upon seeing evidence of damages and ransacking, she left and called 911.

 

Investigation showed the suspect(s) had thrown paint, varnish and motor oil on floors, walls and kitchen counters. Cabinet drawers were pulled and dumped and carpet had been pulled up.

Several items were missing including a large flat screen television, a desktop computer and a laptop computer. Smaller items including jewelry may also be missing. Damages and loss was estimated at over $250,000.

 

The crime is being investigated by Det. Chase Armington of the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit assisted by MSP Crime Lab.

LOCATION:         600 Block of Hayden Road, Centreville

 

DETAILS                The General Manager of Conrad-Pyle Company reported that his crew had found that two air conditioning units  on the property had been stripped of all the copper metal and wiring.

LOCATION:         200 Kent Landing, Stevensville, MD

 

DETAILS:              Loss Prevention Manager @ K-Mart reported the theft of a white pallet jack and two bales of cardboard boxes for recycling. The theft occurred on 12/10 just before 3 AM according to store security footage.  The two suspects appear to be African American males wearing white shirts and driving a box truck.

 

The loss was estimated at $900.

INCIDENT:           Domestic Assault

DATE / TIME:      12/11/2015 @ 2203 Hours

LOCATION:         1500 Block of Postal Road, Chester, MD

 

DETAILS:              Deputies responded to a residence on Postal Road for a domestic between a male & female. On arrival the male stated that when he tried to leave the female grabbed his shirt and computer. The male stated there was no injury or damage.

 

The female stated the argument was over Facebook and when the male attempted to leave with the laptop she grabbed the computer. The female stated that her hands and arms were twisted until she lost grip on the computer and she fell at the top of the stairs. Upon getting up, she stated the male pushed her back down on the stairs and then slammed the door on her knee several times. She had visible injury to her hands.

 

The male identified as David Charles Culin (49) of Chester was placed under arrest for assault. He was later released on a $5000 unsecured bond.

LOCATION:         1700 Block of Perry’s Corner Road, Grasonville

 

DETAILS                Complainant reported that persons had broken into a family residence on Perry’s Corner Road. Several weeks ago she had found her daughter and several other persons sleeping at the house and had “trashed it”. The residence was cleared and the doors secured.

 

Today she found the door kicked in, the hot water heater removed and several western themed liquor decanters missing. The damage and loss estimate exceeded $1000.

LOCATION:         6521 Friels Road, Queenstown

 

DETAILS                Douglas Hughes reported that when he arrived to work this morning he noticed that a white Homesteader trailer stored on his property was gone. The trailer had tools  including an air compressor, saws, drills and other tools inside as well as a Harley Davidson  and ” Hatteras Island Choppers ” logo on the rear.  The trailer and contents were valued at $9900.

 

A witness reported seeing a tall white male driving a white Chevrolet or GMC pickup in the area the evening before with a similar trailer.

INCIDENT:           Animal Abuse

DATE / TIME:      12/14/2015 @ 1253 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         Queenstown, MD

 

DETAILS                Animal Control had taken report on 11/23 about a dog looking unhealthy and bleeding from the head. The dog appeared to be a 50 pound adult chocolate lab and was taken to a local veterinarian for treatment.  The dog required surgery and was found to have been shot between the eyes and an unknown caliber bullet was located in its upper jaw.

 

The dog was originally located on Ukiwitz Road , Queenstown. Anyone with information on the dog or the owner is asked to contact the QA Animal Control at 410-758-2393 or email at qacac@qac.org.

INCIDENT:           Disorderly / Resisting Arrest

DATE / TIME:      12/15/2015 @ 2253 Hours

LOCATION:         Hilton Garden Inn, 3206 Main Street, Grasonville

 

DETAILS                Deputies responded to the location for a disorderly subject. On arrival, hotel staff advised that when they went to secure the pool area for the night a white male was in the pool and refused to leave. It was also learned that the male had been calling the front desk repeatedly and cursing them.

 

Deputies located the man in the Jacuzzi and requested he leave. The man was intoxicated and argumentative and refused to cooperate. After several requests to leave, deputies attempted to remove the man from the Jacuzzi.

 

The man resisted and was able to pull Deputy Creason into the Jacuzzi, who became fully submerged. The male was then removed from the water and placed under arrest. The man identified as Matt Lee Stover (24) of Middletown De. Continued to  yelled obscenities, threatened to kill the deputies and their families. Stover also stated he was in Salisbury or Ocean City and claimed to be 16.

 

Deputy Creason received a small cut from  his Taser cartridges which deployed when submerged. Creason’s Taser and Motorola Radio were no longer working. Those units were valued at over $7000.

 

Stover was charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment, Trespassing, Resisting Arrest, 2 counts of MDOP over $1000, and Obstruction & Hindering. He was initially held on a 75,000 bond which was reduced at a bail review to $50,000. He was later released with the assistance of a bail bondsman.
