INCIDENT:                Theft from Vehicle

DATE / TIME:           06/29/2014 @ 1642 Hours

LOCATION:              Old Love Point Park, Stevensville

VICTIM:                     Brittany D. Butler of Grasonville

 

NARRATIVE:           Victim reported being with family members at the park and learned that the rear passenger window of her Mitsubishi was smashed. She checked the car and found her brown & purple Coach purse was gone. The purse contained a match Coach wallet, assorted cards & ID, two white gold necklaces with pendants shaped as a Number 8 and a key. The stolen items were valued at $1300 and damage to the vehicle at $450.

 

Later the victim advised her credit card had been used at a fireworks stand in the Safeway parking lot in Chester for $270 of fireworks.. The suspects were two males about 40 years old with medium toned skin. No vehicle description.

LOCATION:              RT 405 & Massey Road, Church Hill

VICTIM:                     Michael R. Bostic of Church Hill

 

NARRATIVE:           Victim advised an older red Toyota Celica occupied by two males, possibly Hispanic had driven the car thru 400 to 500 feet of his corn field. The Toyota had Virginia plates and had been driving recklessly in the neighborhood before leaving last seen heading towards RT 301.  Damage to the field was estimated at $2500.

LOCATION:              1300 Block of Bloomingdale Road, Queenstown

VICTIM:                     Shanika Travers of Cambridge

Tynesha Johnson of Cambridge

ARREST: Pending

CHARGE:                  Assault (2 Counts)

 

NARRATIVE:           Investigation of the incident indicates that William Chester of Cambridge was at a location on Bloomingdale Road and placed his cell phone in a charger in his unsecured vehicle. While inside, he saw Shanika Travers reach into the car and remove his phone and went outside to confront her. During the verbal confrontation with both women, Chester reports they moved in close to him and were yelling. At that time she struck both women in the face, causing both women to retreat to the parking lot.

 

Both women had visible injuries, Travers a cut lip and Johnson a cut forehead and were treated by Queenstown EMS at the scene. Both women denied taking the phone and a search failed to locate the item.

 

All parties were referred to the District Court Commissioner if charges were desired. Shanika Travers and Tynesha Johnson did so and two Arrest Warrants for assault were issued for William Sherron Chester (46) of Cambridge. Service is pending.

LOCATION:              1100 Block of Chesapeake Drive, Stevensville

VICTIM:                     Caroline Znaniec of Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:           Victim advised upon entering her home that someone had broken in and rummaged thru various locations. Among the items taken were prescription medications, cash and Xbox games. Items had an estimated value of $132.

LOCATION:              QA Emergency Room, Grasonville

VICTIM:                     Female (Late 40’s) of Grasonville

 

NARRATIVE:           Female subject left the ER after refusing treatment and was reportedly standing in the road yelling. On arrival she was located lying in the grassy area near the road asking for help, and advised she had been drinking and taking prescription meds. She was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center by patrol car for assistance.

NARRATIVE:           Victim advised she left her pink iPhone 5C in the bathroom at Royal Farms and when she returned a short time later it was gone. The phone and LifeProof case were valued at $570.

LOCATION:              Woods Road near Pondtown Road, Chestertown (QA)

VICTIM:                     Christian D. Wilson of Rhoadsville, VA

 

NARRATIVE:           Deputy patrolling the area located an 18 foot Renken boat tied to a tree in the cul-de-sac. The boat had been pulled off of a trailer and also had the Inboard-Outboard missing. A check of markings resulted in finding the boat was stolen from Orange County VA in early June. Deputies have been working with detectives in VA on the case.

NARRATIVE:           Loss Prevention at the store reported that the suspect was observed placing several health and beauty items in a bag she had brought in the store with her. As she left the store she was detained and found to have lotions, shampoo, clothing and an inflatable kiddy pool valued at $154.

LOCATION:              900 Block of Cloverfields Drive, Stevensville

VICTIM:                     April L. Jackson of Stevensville

ARREST: Justin Cramer Derdock (33) of Linthicum, MD

CHARGE:                  Assault 2nd Degree

 

NARRATIVE:           Deputies were called to residence for a report of a man and woman fighting in the yard. On arrival they were told by witnesses that the male had pushed the female against a wall causing her to lose her balance while she was holding their 7 month old baby. In order to get the male away from her, she had to put the baby down.

 

Justin Derdock was placed under arrest and removed to Sheriff’s Headquarters for charges and processing. He was released after a $3000 bond was posted.

VICTIM:                     John E. Fuller of Grasonville

 

NARRATIVE:           Victim reported several US flags at his residence had been stolen overnight.  Four ground flags and a larger 5’8 flag which was attached to the residence were taken. The larger flag had been flown over the State Department in honor of a family member KIA and had a sentimental value. A neighbor reported a tan Tahoe in the area and drop a person off in the area near the residence.

NARRATIVE:           Victim reported a vacant rental property had been vandalized sometime during the prior week. A door had been forced open and graffiti had been painted on the walls, doors and fixtures.

NARRATIVE:           Victim returned home to find a door had been forced open and an iPod and a football jersey had been stolen. The stolen items were valued at $200 with $100 damage to the door.

TRAFFIC:

14-21197:  2002 Dodge Pickup was stopped on 6/29 @ 1454 hours by Deputy Ryan Davidson at on Leager Road near RT 300 near Sudlersville. The driver, Cody Jack Bonwill Sr. of Sudlersville was found to be driving with a suspended license. He was issued a citation and was released. He arranged for a ride from the scene.

 

14-22080:  While investigating a two car collision on July 8th at Castle Marina Road and Anchor Lane in Chester, a driver of one of the vehicles was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. After Field Sobriety tasks were attempted, Kirsten Kay Mirack was charged with DWI by Deputy Mitch Jones.

 

14-22119:  On July 8th @ 0318 Hours Deputy Jones stopped a 1999 Chrysler passenger car for an equipment violation on RT 50 near Dundee Avenue. The driver, Christopher Michael Broadnax (34) of Suitland advised he hadn’t had a driver’s license for over a year. He was charged with driving without a license and Driving on a revoked out of state license. A district Court Commissioner later released him on his personal recognizance.
