INCIDENT:             Burglary

DATE / TIME:       06/29/2016 @ 1707 Hours

LOCATION:           100 Block of Forest Road, Grasonville, MD

 

DETAILS:               Victim reported upon his return to his residence he had found a window damaged, personal property moved and his gun locker open with 7 long guns missing.

 

The missing guns included two pump shotguns, a Benneli shotgun, three .22 rifles and a 410 single shot shotgun. A further check of the residence showed that an X-Box system & games, 10 pairs of basketball shorts and some jewelry had also been taken.

 

A suspect was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant but has not been charged to date. Case remains open and assigned to the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit.

INCIDENT:             Burglary

DATE / TIME:       06/30/2016 @ 0429 Hours

LOCATION:           800 Block of Grasonville Cemetery Road, Grasonville

 

DETAILS:               Resident reported that after waking up, a light on a different portion of the house was noticed. Upon getting up to check, two unknown African American males were observed in another room with a flashlight and when startled they fled from the house. The only item found to be missing was a .40 caliber Glock handgun.

 

The neighborhood was searched on foot and with K9 without any success. The two were described as AA males with the taller one having short dreds. Both were wearing white t-shirts.

 

Interviews of family members resulted in several possible suspects known to the family.

 

On July 9th, the MSP Gang Unit reported that Cambridge Police had arrested Da’aonte Potter on three outstanding warrants for unrelated offenses. As police attempted to arrest Potter he fled, was pursued on foot and observed throwing an object as he ran. The item thrown was located and was a Glock .40 handgun. Potter was one of the suspects named by the victims.

 

Case remains open and under investigation. Charges are pending on Potter who remains in Dorchester County Detention Center.

LOCATION:           3100 Block of Bennett Point Road, Grasonville

 

DETAILS:               Victim reported checking the family’s weekend home and found someone had broken in and stolen three television sets valued at $2100 sometime in the past two weeks.

DATE / TIME:       06/30/2016 @ 1504 Hours

LOCATION:           5100 Block of Main Street, Grasonville

 

DETAILS:               Victim reported expecting a package to be delivered and according to the tracking number was delivered that day. Upon arriving home, the victim was unable to locate the package valued at $50.

DATE / TIME:       06/30/2016 @ 1613 Hours

LOCATION:           Thompson Creek Shopping Center, Stevensville

 

DETAILS:               Victim reported the theft of a credit card from her purse sometime between 1530 and 1600 hours at Food Lion in Stevensville. Victim reported the theft to the issuing bank and was advised that the card had already been used at K-Mart, Big Lots and a gas station in Stevensville.

 

Suspect was an African-American male driving a dark colored car.

DATE / TIME:       07/01/2016 @ 0634 Hours

LOCATION:           Dulin Clark Road, Centreville

 

DETAILS:               Several residents in the 300, 400 and 500 blocks of Dulin Clark Road reported damage to mailboxes and trash cans. In total six mailboxes were damaged between 2000 to 0330 Hours.

DATE / TIME:       07/01/2016 @ 2230 Hours

LOCATION:           3600 Main Street, Grasonville

 

DETAILS:               Report of a black Hyundai on the grass area in front of a liquor store in Grasonville. On arrival, the Deputy found the occupant slumped over the steering wheel asleep. After knocking on the windows several times the driver awoke and lowered the window. With a strong odor of alcohol noted and a statement she was coming from a local bar, the driver (Jessica

 

Elizabeth Lizer (25) of Cordova) was asked to attempt several field sobriety tasks.

 

After the attempts, she was placed under arrest and charged with DWI. After citations were issued, she was released to a sober friend.
