INCIDENT:          Domestic

DATE / TIME:     06/15/2013 @ 1907 Hours

LOCATION:         Victoria Drive, Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:       Deputies responded to the residence where the female spouse reported arguing with her husband who then threw her cell phone in the pool. Female went into the house and locked the husband out due to his drinking. Husband agreed to go to a friend’s house for the night. Neither party wanted to press charges.

DATE / TIME:     06/15/2013 @ 2239 Hours

LOCATION:         Canal Street, Grasonville

 

NARRATIVE:       Deputies responded to residence for a reported domestic. Female victim had a shoulder injury and had been transported to QA Emergency Room. Victim reported she and her husband had been at the Jetty and upon returning home an argument had occurred. When the husband attempted to remove the victim from the vehicle, he grabbed her by the arm and had caused an injury to her shoulder. The husband then went inside and retrieved a shotgun threatening to harm himself and left the residence.

 

A couple of hours later, the ER reported the husband was at that location seeking information about his wife. Deputies responded and located the man outside the hospital. An unloaded shotgun was located in the trunk of his vehicle. Based on statements reported at the scene and during interviews, the husband was taken into custody and transported to Easton Memorial Hospital for treatment.

 

A Criminal Summons was later issued against the husband charging him with assault and served on June 20th.

LOCATION:         Ashland Drive, Centreville

 

NARRATIVE:       Deputy was dispatched to location after two female neighbors had an incident over tree branches hanging across the property line. Statements indicated that the two had assaulted each other and that one of the two had “lifted” the other person’s dog with her foot. One of the women had a scratch on her back while the other had a slight redness to her eye. The dog appeared not to be injured.

 

Both individuals were advised how to seek charges if desired and suggested to file for a protective order. To date no charges or court orders have been issued.

LOCATION:         Roberts Station Road, Church Hill

VICTIM:              Kristen M. Thomas of Church Hill

ARREST:              Alton Ray Pitts (46) of Church Hill

 

NARRATIVE:       Deputies responded to a residence on Roberts Station Road for a reported domestic over a child in the home being pushed. On arrival, the male half advised there had been an argument and that each had pushed the other. The female stated she had been pushed and choked during the altercation. Subjects at that time declined additional information and the male left for work. Both were advised how to seek charges if desired.

 

Charges were applied for by Thomas on the 17th and Pitts was charged with 2 counts of assault, child abuse and Reckless Endangerment. The warrant was served on 6/23 and Pitts was held on a $15,000 Bail at the QA Detention Center.

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported he had placed $2500 in a location at his residence and when he checked a day later the cash was missing. No forced entry to the home.

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported he had left his bike at the park overnight after a pedal broke off. When he returned today, the Tony Hawk BMX Bike was gone. The bike is Copper colored with a gray front rim and a black rear wheel.

LOCATION:         300 Block of Farwell Road, Chestertown

VICTIM:              Brandi Connell-Stansbury of Chestertown

ARREST:              Tyson Nemrrow Stansbury (34) of Sudlersville

CHARGE:            Robbery / Theft / Assault

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported having an altercation with her ex-husband and that he had grabbed both her arms, shook her and then threw her to the ground. When she attempted to use her iPhone, Stansbury allegedly grabbed her by the neck and took the phone. He then left the residence and took the phone with him. On arrival, Deputy Armington could see red marks on the victim’s neck consistent with her report.

 

At 0212 Hours Stansbury was located at a residence on Perry Lynch Road near Millington and taken into custody. As he was being escorted to a patrol car, he attempted to toss a knotted plastic baggie with white powder under the car. The baggie contained suspected cocaine and an oxycotin pill.

 

Stansbury was taken to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing and charged with Robbery, Assault 2nd Degree, Theft under $1000, and two counts of CDS Possession. At an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner, Stansbury was held on a $30,000 bail at the QA Detention Center.

DATE / TIME:     06/19/2013 @ 0155 Hours

LOCATION:         RT 18 @ Castle Marina Road, Chester

 

ARREST:              Male (17) of Chester

CHARGE:            Possession of CDS – Marijuana

 

NARRATIVE:       A blue Volvo passenger car was stopped for failure to have operating brake lights. When the deputy made contact with the driver and two passengers, the odor of marijuana was coming from the car. A search resulted in locating a bag with a tobacco can with marijuana residue, a scale, rolling papers and a grinder. A partially burnt marijuana cigarette was also located on the floor board. The owner of the bag was identified and referred to Juvenile Justice for possession. He was later released to a parent.

LOCATION:         300 Block of Queens Colony High Road, Stevensville

VICTIM:              Aurelia Hodges of Stevensville

ARREST:              Alex Anthony Cassel (24) of Stevensville

CHARGE:            Assault

 

NARRATIVE:       911 Call was received from a female who reported her boyfriend had hit her. A male then took the phone and said everything is fine and hung up. Deputies on arrival could hear an argument inside the residence and knocked on the door until a female answered. The victim stated an argument had occurred and when she attempted to leave the room, Cassel grabbed her wrist and then around her waist. When she broke free, she called the police.

 

Cassel was located upstairs holding a baby and told the deputies they could leave. Cassel stated he only grabbed her wrist. He was placed under arrest and taken to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. He was later released by a District Court Commissioner.

INCIDENT:          DWI / WARRANT SERVICE

DATE / TIME:     06/22/2013 @ 2239 Hours

LOCATION:         RT 50 W/B @ Kent Narrows       

 

ARREST:              Raymond William Watts (33) of Pasadena

CHARGE:            DWI / Warrants

 

NARRATIVE:       Dark Ford SUV was observed crossing the center line and swerving to avoid striking another vehicle. When stopped, the driver had an odor of alcohol and advised he had just left Red Eyes. Driver gave his name as Benjamin Tinker with a middle name of William. Short time later he stated his name was Benjamin Watts. When a passenger was asked for ID, it was learned that the passenger was Benjamin Tinker. After questioning, the driver was identified as Raymond William Watts who was suspended and also had outstanding warrants in Anne Arundel County for theft.

 

Watts was charged with DWI and driving suspended. A district Court Commissioner held him on a bail of $32,000 and he was taken to Queen Anne’s Co. Detention Center.

DATE / TIME:     06/23/2013 @ 0025 Hours

LOCATION:         RT18 & Shopping Center Road, Stevensville       

 

ARREST:              Nikolas Alexander Urban (33) of Stevensville

CHARGE:            DWI

 

NARRATIVE:       A BMW was clocked at 53 MPH in a 30 MPH zone on RT 18 and stopped on Shopping Center Road. The driver was identified as Nikolas Urban who had several indicators of possible Driving under the influence including an odor of alcohol on his breath. Several field sobriety tasks were attempted which resulted in Mr. Urban’s arrest for DWI.  After issuance of citations and a breath test, Mr. Urban was released at his residence.

DATE / TIME:     06/23/2013 @ 2351 Hours

LOCATION:         Red Eyes Dock Bar @ Kent Narrows, Grasonville             

 

ARREST:              Bradley Thomas Altmeyer (21) of Pasadena

CHARGE:            MDOP

 

NARRATIVE:         Dfc. Steenken responded reference to an alarm at Red Eyes and saw a broken bathroom door at the closed business. Witnesses stated a male with shaggy hair wearing a red shirt was seen running from the business. The male was located in the fenced area of Mears Point Marina and identified as Bradley Altmeyer.  Suspect smelled of alcohol and stated he had fallen asleep and had to break out. Damages were estimated at $300. Altmeyer was charged with MDOP on a criminal citation and released to a friend.

DATE / TIME:       6/24/2013 @ 1230 Hours

LOCATION:           RT 213 @ Fey Road, Chestertown

 

ARREST: Stephen Paul Carroll (50) of Chestertown

CHARGE:              DWI

 

NARRATIVE:         Deputy was running stationary radar monitoring RT 213 and sitting in the parking lot of Kingstown Apartments. A tan Ford pickup was observed stopped at the stop sign on Fey road and the driver was observed drinking from a red, blue & white can. When the driver saw the Sheriff’s car, he threw the can out the passenger side window and turned right onto 213. The truck was stopped and the driver identified as Stephen Carroll who had an odor of alcohol on his breath. A second deputy arrived and located a cool Budweiser can at the location near the intersection.

 

Driver attempted several field sobriety tasks and afterward he was placed under arrest for DWI. After issuance of citations and a breath test, Mr. Carroll was released to a sober individual.

INCIDENT             BURGLARY / THEFT

DATE / TIME:       06/24/2013 @ 1730 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:           500 Block of Main Street, Church Hill

VICTIM:                Michelle Roser of Ellicott City

 

NARRATIVE:         Victim reported that unknown person(s) had broken into her rental property and had removed copper plumbing pipes from several areas of the house. In addition a Coleman Canoe, a gas grill, a hammock frame, an air conditioning unit and a John Deere utility trailer were missing.  Witnesses reported that an older white Ford truck had been parked at the residence at one time. Theft and damages were estimated at $2000.
