PRESS RELEASE

 

 

On morning of July 1st the victim parked his truck in the student parking lot at Kent Island High School to attend a function at the location. At about 9:30 AM a dark pickup circled the parking lot and then the unknown driver removed a Ryobi Table saw and a Porter Cable nail gun from the bed of the truck. Items were valued at $400. Security video shows a white male in a maroon truck possibly a Toyota taking the items

UPDATE:             The suspect has been identified and a Criminal Summons was issued on 07/18/2012 for Brenda Jean Anderson (45) of Stevensville charging her with Theft.

NARRATIVE:        Suspect was observed entering the store with an empty shopping cart and then placing a comforter and sheets in the cart. A short time later she went to the customer service desk and attempted to “return” the items saying it was a gift and she didn’t have a sales slip.  Upon being questioned on the possible transaction, the suspect left the store taking the items valued at $54 with her. The suspect is described as a white female about 5’3” and in her 40’s.

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported being on vacation and upon returning home found items missing and damaged. While away, the family had asked an teenaged individual to take care of the residence. However, the individual hosted a party that was attended by at least five persons he could name and several others he didn’t know. The party goers had driven the family’s BMW several times leaving it on empty, stolen PlayStation games consoles, assorted video games, several bicycles, skateboards and a safe with coins & documents. Guitars, Computers and clothing had been moved and strewn about the house. A guitar was also broken and left outside.  Items missing were valued at $6550. Investigation remains open.

Upon returning to his bike he discovered his black Bell half-shell helmet to be missing. The helmet had several stickers with a black shark fin attached and was valued at $200.

NARRATIVE:        A silver Ford passenger car with three males was stopped for a minor traffic violation. During the stop, Dfc. House and K9 Beny scanned the car which resulted in a positive alert. A search of the car resulted in locating suspect marijuana in a backpack in the trunk. One of the passengers, an 23 year old male from Hurlock claimed ownership of the backpack but advised he didn’t know anything about the suspected marijuana. The suspected CDS was seized and set to the lab. Subjects were released from the scene pending results.

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported arguing with her boyfriend and during the argument he kicked her and punched her in the back. Victim had a minor injury on her left shoulder consistent to a hand print. Knotts was placed under arrest. After processing and charging documents, he was released by a District Court Commissioner on his personal recognizance.

NARRATIVE:        EMS and Sheriff’s Officer called to a residence on Romancoke Road for a cardiac arrest due to a drug overdose. Victim was given a shot of Narcan and regained consciousness and later stated he had shot up with heroin. He was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center by Ambulance for treatment.

NARRATIVE:        Scott Cannon reported that while parked in his driveway overnight, someone had stolen tools and a generator missing from his Comcast truck. The vehicle was secured at about 6PM and when he went to leave for work the following morning saw that the locks had been cut and items missing. Among the items taken were two cable locators valued at $250 each and a Honda generator with a $2000 value.

NARRATIVE:        Marina manager Richard Lean reported finding a satellite dish damaged at the location. The dish had been kicked numerous times causing it to be bent in half. The dish was the property of Ms. King who had it installed to her boat docked at the marina. Damage was estimated at $150.

After the deputy checked the residence, victim saw a jewelry box had been opened with a Centreville High School ring (Class of 1947), a Queens Anne’s County High School ring (Class of 1978) and a Tupperware container with coins missing. The items were valued at $600.

NARRATIVE:        Deputies were called to the residence for a reported domestic assault. On arrival it was reported that the Fishers had been to a local bar and upon returning home became involved in an argument. Mrs. Fisher stated she had been punched in the head and neck by her husband, however there was no appearent injury. Mr. Fisher reported his wife began to attack him during the argument and had shoved her to stop the assault and that she had bit him. Mr. Fisher had minor injuries to both arms including an appearent bite mark. Mrs. Fisher was placed under arrest for 2nd Degree assault. A District Court Commissioner later released her on her own recognizance.

NARRATIVE:        Deputy Harris saw a blue motor scooter being operated by a young looking male and another young male passenger going west on Route 18. The scooter was going slow and holding up several cars. Deputy Harris stopped the scooter and found both the driver and passenger to be 16 and neither had a license to drive. The two were later released to their parents. The driver was referred to Juvenile Services for driving without proper license.

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported hearing a possible gun shot at about 11 PM near her residence. The following morning she went to open her blinds and found the window having damage. The damage appeared to be a bullet entry going thru three panes of glass and into the residence and may have been shot from the roadway or further. Damage was estimated at $25-$50 dollars.

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported discovering several pieces of jewelry missing including a Diamond Heart pendant, an engagement ring with three diamonds, a man’s wedding band, diamond earrings, a wedding band with three diamonds and a bracelet with 24 diamonds. Items were valued at over $8200. Victim reported last seeing the items in March. Victim advised she had a maid-service at that time but has since terminated their services. No sign of any forced entry was reported.

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported having a verbal altercation with a male she has an on/off relations with and had left the residence on the day before. On today’s date, she returned to take her window air conditioner and was met at the front door by the suspect. As she attempted to enter, victim reports suspect grabbed her arm and shut the door preventing her to enter. Victim had minor bruising on her upper arm. Mr. Weller was placed under arrest and charged with assault. He was later released on his own recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.

NARRATIVE:        Deputies were called to the residence for a domestic disturbance. Persons at the location advised two siblings had been arguing and the male had smashed a large mirror outside and then left the residence. Family members stated they were tired of the suspect using drugs and showed deputies various smoking devices and paraphernalia all appearing to have CDS residue. Suspect returned later in the day and was contacted. Suspect gave permission to look into his car and additional CDS items were seized. Charges are pending lab results.

CHARGE:              Possession of CDS – Synthetic Narcotic

 

NARRATIVE:        Sgt. Jones checking a vehicle parked at Jackson Creek and observed several open alcohol beverages open inside the car occupied by 4 subjects. Three of the subjects were under the age of 21 and the fourth, Fournier admitted to purchasing the beverages and supplying the other three. A search of the 2003 Chrysler resulted in the seizure of a suspected subone pill ( a schedule II controlled substance. Suspected “K2” cigarettes were also observed in the car.

 

As a result Fournier was placed under arrest and charged with possession of CDS and a civil citation for supplying underage persons with alcohol. She was later released by a District Court Commissioner. Brittany D. Lee (19) of Sudlersville, a Male (17) of Grasonville and a Male (16) of Seaford DE were issued underage alcohol possession civil citations. The two juveniles were later released to a Guardian.

NARRATIVE:        Deputies were called to The Jetty for an assault. On arrival they met several female subjects who were caring for an intoxicated female. The witnesses reported seeing the suspect groping the female, then pulling her into his lap and placing his hand under her skirt up to the vaginal area. The suspect who had been detained by security, gave a statement to deputies. The female was transported to Easton Memorial by ambulance.

 

Schultz was placed under arrest and was later released by a District Court Commissioner on a $4000 unsecured bond.

NARRATIVE:        Deputies were called to location for a report of a suspicious white Cadillac parked at the north end of the parking lot. Deputies checked the car and found two subjects, a male & female inside. Deputies saw an open bottle of vodka and the driver appeared to be underage. A search of the car resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine, used syringes, suspected Suboxone and additional alcohol. As a result Victoria Lynn Simpson (19) of Centreville was issued a civil citation for underage possession of alcohol and the passenger Brandon Lee Kirsch (25) of Centreville was issued a citation for providing alcohol to an underage person. Both subjects were then released at the scene. Items seized were sent to the lab and additional charges are pending.

NARRATIVE:        Suspect was observed placing bottles of nail polish in her pocketbook and store personnel called the Sheriff’s Office. Given the description, Dfc. Ambrose waited for her to exit the store and then stopped her. At that time she had several items in a cart and in her purse which had not been paid for. 18 Bottles of nail polish, nail polish remover and a couple other nail items were recovered with a value of $33. Suspect was issued a criminal citation at the scene and released pending court.
