INCIDENT:           Theft

LOCATION:         1500 Block of Postal Road, Chester

VICTIM:               Thompson Kaufman of Chester

 

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported missing a plastic container with change and currency from his residence. The victim advised he saw the container on Saturday morning the 4th and upon returning that evening it was gone. No sign of forced entry was located. Estimated loss was at $1500.

LOCATION:         3101 Main Street, Grasonville

VICTIM:               Meg M. Woody of Media PA

 

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported that after consuming a large amount of alcohol, she visited a couple in a nearby room sometime around 3 AM.  She later returned to her room  and upon waking up realized she had left her purse in the couple’s room. When she went to retrieve her purse, the room had been vacated and was empty except for one of her earrings and her right shoe. The purse was described as a Gray “HOBO” purse with her driver’s license, credit cards, about $300 cash and assorted papers and items.

 

Later in the day, the purse was located near the Kent Narrows bridge and turned into to the Sheriff’s Office. The purse contained the victim’s credit cards, identification and car keys. There was no cash found in the purse. The purse and items have been returned to the owner.

INCIDENT:           Theft from a Vehicle

LOCATION:         100 Block of Swan Cove Road, Chester

VICTIM:               William T. Hawley of Chester

 

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported he had parked his 2011 Ford Truck and boat across the street from his residence at about 8PM. The next morning he discovered that someone had taken the tailgate from the truck. The tailgate was described as black in color with a factory built-in step and back-up camera system and was valued at $3500.

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported that the rear window of her 2007 GMC pickup had been shattered while the truck was parked in the driveway. Damage was estimated at $250

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported her car stolen from while it was parked in front of her residence sometime from 3PM to 4PM. The car is described as a red 1999 Oldsmobile 4 Door Intrigue with a Dallas Cowboy tag cover on the rear tag.

INCIDENT:           Medical Emergency

DATE / TIME:      08/08/2012 @ 1549 Hours

LOCATION:         Millington Road, Sudlersville

VICTIM:               Female (33) of Sudlersville

 

NARRATIVE:        Employee of the QA Health Department reported receiving a call from a female who seemed extremely upset threatening to kill herself, the doctor who last treated her, her dentist and burning down a hospital. Deputy Elliott then responded to the residence in Sudlersville. As Deputy Elliott was approaching the residence, the female began to scream profanities, screaming to get off her property and that she was going to harm the woman at the health department for calling the police. After 10-15 minutes attempting to calm the female down with her threatening to burn down several government buildings and talking about killing babies , she was taken into custody and transported to Chester River Hospital for assistance. At the hospital she continued to be disorderly.

VICTIM:               Eugene D. Vazquez of Stevensville

ARREST:               Philip Charles Edwards (26) of Chester

CHARGE:              Assault 1st Degree / Assault 2nd Degree / Reckless Endangerment

 

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported having a few drinks with friends at his sister’s residence when one of his friends, Philip Edwards picked up a metal chair and struck him on the head. Victim had a 2-3 inch laceration to his right eyebrow and was taken to the Emergency Room in Grasonville by ambulance for treatment. The suspect was located a short distance from the residence with a white t-shirt with blood on it. He was taken into custody and processed at the Sheriff’s Headquarters. He was held at the Detention Center on a bail of $20,000.

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported that her credit card had been used at locations in QA County and she had never been to the locations. On 8/6 someone purchased $342 of merchandise at the Nike Store and at the Crab Deck on the same date in the amount of $183. Investigation remains open pending review of security video.

NARRATIVE:        Victim reported he had purchased a dredge about two months ago and had left it at Merrick Sand & Gravel. While there the Ellicott Emblem was taken off of the dredge and the emblem is valued at $500.
