INCIDENT:           DWI / CDS Possession

DATE / TIME:      08/28/2015 @ 2336 Hours

LOCATION:         RT 18 @ Dominion Road, Chester

 

DETAILS:              A white Volvo was observed driving on RT 18 near Dominion Road at an excessive speed and clocked on radar at 17 MPH over the posted speed limit. The vehicle was stopped in the Fisherman’s Inn parking lot and the driver identified as Christopher Glen McLaughlin (22) of Chester.

McLaughlin stated his license may be suspended and he also had an odor of alcoholic beverage and bloodshot & glassy eyes. Several field sobriety tasks were attempted and McLaughlin was placed under arrest for DWI.

 

A K9 Scan of the Volvo resulted in the seizure of a small baggie of suspected marijuana.

 

McLaughlin was charged with DWI, Speeding and a civil citation for marijuana possession and then released at the scene to a sober individual.

INCIDENT:           Theft

DATE / TIME:      08/29/2015 @ 0219 Hours

LOCATION:         300 Block of Farwell Road, Chestertown (QA)

 

DETAILS:              Heather Lambert reported hearing noises outside the residence and saw a male subject in a blue GMC truck belonging to a friend, Brandi Stansbury who lives there.

Ms. Stansbury responded to the residence and report that her former husband had taken her GMC truck and refused to return it. It was also learned that the tags from a Mercedes and Nissan parked at the residence were missing several tires slashed.

 

Charges were issued for the arrest of the victim’s former husband, Tyson Nemrrow Stansbury (36) of Sudlersville. Stansbury was arrested on the following day for theft, MDOP and Unlawful taking of Motor Vehicle and later released after a $25,000 bond was posted.

INCIDENT:           Medical Emergency

DATE / TIME:      08/29/2015 @ 0407 Hours

LOCATION:         RT 50 E/B @ Dominion Road, Chester, MD

 

DETAILS:              Deputies and MSP were dispatched to area after several reports from motorists of a female sitting in the east bound roadway of RT 50. Prior to arrival, additional reports were advising the female was at a nearby gas station banging her head into gas pumps.

 

On arrival, a 40 year old woman from Chester was located, reportedly upset over issues in a relationship and later transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for assistance.

INCIDENT:           Theft from Vehicle

DATE / TIME:      08/29/2015 @ 1131 Hours

LOCATION:         2600 Block of Palm Drive, Chester, MD

 

DETAILS:              Michael Link reported leaving his Suzuki vehicle unlocked at his home during the early morning hours of 8/29. At 1100 hours he went to his car and found that $55 was missing from the center console area.

INCIDENT:           DWI / CDS Possession

DATE / TIME:      08/30/2015 @ 0711 Hours

LOCATION:         201 Romancoke Road, Stevensville, MD

 

DETAILS:              Deputies were notified of an unconscious person in a grey Hyundai Sonata in a handicap parking space at the Shore Stop location.

On arrival it took several attempts to awaken the subject and get his attention. Subject denied drinking or being asleep and had just stopped to get a drink. Once the subject began to talk a strong odor of alcoholic beverage was noted.

 

Driver identified as Mark Robert McCaslin (18) of Stevensville and was asked to attempt several field sobriety tasks. McCaslin was had trouble maintaining his balance and was unable to complete the tasks satisfactorily. He was placed under arrest for DWI. Several CDS items, scale, rolling papers and grinder with suspected marijuana were located in the vehicle.

 

McCaslin was charged with DWI and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was also issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana under 10 grams.

INCIDENT:           Motor Vehicle Accident

DATE / TIME:      08/30/2015 @ 0116 Hours

LOCATION:         600 Block of White Marsh Road, Centreville

 

DETAILS:              Deputies responded to location for a reported single vehicle crash. On arrival they located a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe that had driven off the roadway, then overcorrected twice to regain control and then slid sideways into a tree.

 

The driver was identified as Terry Monroe Rochester Jr. (32) of Centreville, MD who was airlifted to Shock Trauma by MSP Aviation.

 

The vehicle (listed owner Geraldine E. Cooper of Centreville) was towed from the scene.

 

Investigation remains open.

INCIDENT:           Domestic Assault

DATE / TIME:      08/30/2015 @ 1302 Hours

LOCATION:         Fisher Manor Apartments, Grasonville

 

DETAILS:              Female victim reported she allowed the suspect into her residence and an argument ensued regarding their three month old child in common.

 

Victim stated she was holding the child when the suspect grabbed her by the shirt and punched her in the face several times. Victim had visible injuries on her face and the shirt was ripped.

 

The suspect, Darnell Tyree Tomlinson (42) of Grasonville was arrested at the scene and charged with assault 2nd degree. He was held at the Detention Center on a $25,000 bail amount.

DATE / TIME:      08/31/2015 @ 1244 Hours

LOCATION:         Cee Jay Road, Chestertown (QA)

 

DETAILS:              Deputies responded to location for a medical issue. On arrival they found a female lying in the roadway, who upon seeing the patrol car attempted to get up and run, but fell several times. The woman (from Chestertown area) was screaming, talking incoherently about being killed and praying to two famous singers. She was transported by patrol car to Chester River Medical Center for assistance.

LOCATION:         2600 Block of Cecil Drive, Chester

 

DETAILS:              Michele Kirby reported that sometime during the night of August 27th that $75 cash was taken from her vehicle’s center console. No damage to vehicle was reported.
