QA Press Release – Lambert Search

PRESS RELEASE

OFFICE of the SHERIFF for QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY

PRESS RELEASE

This morning the Queen Anne’s Office of the Sheriff  is conducting another search in the Starr area for Cortland Lambert missing since March 12th. The search is expanding to include Grange Hall Road, Poplar School Road, Rolling Bridge Road and Back Starr Road.

Search teams were briefed at 0900 hours this morning at a command post set up near the missing man’s residence. During the briefing, Sheriff Hofmann and Mr. James Tull, Cortland’s step-father thanked everyone for their participation and concern.

Investigation into Lambert’s disappearance has no indication other than Lambert left on foot. His vehicle, wallet and cell phone were left at the house.

Area residents were advised of the search last night by Sheriff Hofmann using the Black Board Connect system (Reverse 911) to avoid them being alarmed by a large police presence in the area.

The search is being assisted by DNR, MSP and area SAR teams (Search & Rescue).
