INCIDENT:             Motor Vehicle Theft

DATE / TIME:        11/02/2016 @ 1252 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:           400 Camp Wright Road, Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:         Employees at Camp Wright reported the Camp’s gold colored Chevy Express 14 passenger van was stolen possibly on October 28th. At first it was thought someone at the camp had borrowed the van. The van when new was valued at $34,000. Responding Deputy entered the van into NCIC as stolen.

 

On 11/05 MdTA Police located the van on RT 18 near Sawmill Lane with five occupants who were taken into custody and transported to MdTA office at Sandy Point. The van was also towed by MdTA to Sandy Point.

INCIDENT:             CDS Violation

DATE / TIME:        11/02/2016 @ 1745 Hours

LOCATION:           400 Block of Main Street, Grasonville

NARRATIVE:         Following a report of possible CDS usage by an occupant in a black Mercury SUV parked rear parking lot area. Deputy checked the area and located the SUV occupied by a male subject. When asked, the male advised there was nothing illegal in the SUV.

 

The Deputy, Dfc. Brad Martz then scanned the SUV with K9 Spike who alerted to possible CDS. The vehicle was searched and resulted in the seizure of several syringes & others items used to inject CDS such as heroin and a glass crack pipe with residue.

 

Omar Francis Robinson Jr. (31) of Church Hill was charged with two counts of Possession of CDS (not Marijuana) and Possession of CDS paraphernalia.

INCIDENT:             Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute

DATE / TIME:        11/03/2016 @ 1753 Hours

LOCATION:           Old Love Point Road @ Larch Place, Stevensville

NARRATIVE:         A black Ford Fusion with two occupants was stopped for an equipment violation. While speaking with the driver, a strong smell of marijuana was noted. The driver, Cody David Powers (23) of Stevensville was asked to exit the vehicle. A search resulted in locating two mouthpieces to a bong in his pocket. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a plastic bong and a large plastic baggie with over 10 grams of suspected marijuana.

 

Powers admitted that the bong and suspected marijuana was his. Nothing was located in possession of the passenger who was later released at the scene.

Powers was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute.

INCIDENT:             Domestic Assault

DATE / TIME:        11/04/2016 @ 2028 Hours

LOCATION:           100 Block of Gravel Run Road, Grasonville

NARRATIVE:         Deputy was dispatched to location for a verbal domestic that had turned physical as he was enroute. On arrival he located male sitting in a blue passenger car with a female standing outside the car yelling. The two were separated and interviewed separately. The male advised the female had struck him several times but there was no evidence of injuries.

 

The female advised that the male had driven to her residence and entered the home yelling at her and then stuck her on the side of her face causing her to bite her lip which was bleeding.

 

Investigation indicated the two had broken up that day via text message.

 

Result was that the male identified as Jeffery Lamont Black (30) of Stevensville was charged with 2nd degree assault.

INCIDENT:             DWI

DATE / TIME:        11/05/2016 @ 0144 Hours

LOCATION:           Wells Cove Road, Grasonville

 

NARRATIVE:         Deputies were on another call in the parking lot on Wells Cove Road when they observed a blue Ford Focus leaving the lot nearly striking a pedestrian and a paramedic.

The car was stopped and the driver identified as Susan Rene Citro (52) of Pasadena. The deputy making the stop noted that Citro had an odor of alcoholic beverage when speaking. Citro advised she had not been drinking as she was the designated driver for the evening.

 

After attempting several field sobriety tasks, she was placed under arrest for DWI. After the citation and paperwork was completed, she was released to a family member.

INCIDENT:             Motor Vehicle Theft

DATE / TIME:        11/06/2016 @ 0742 Hours

LOCATION:           200 Block of Long Point Road, Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:         Complaintant reported finding his 2014 orange Ford F-150 pickup missing from his driveway at 0700 hours. Two other vehicles in the driveway had also been rummaged thru with an iPod Touch missing. The complainant advised he had left the truck unlocked with the keys in the truck.

 

On November 10th, the pickup was located at the Wye of Carmichael United Methodist Church unattended.

INCIDENT:             Theft

DATE / TIME:        11/07/2016 @ 1833 Hours

LOCATION:           12 Kent Towne Market, Chester

 

NARRATIVE:         Employee of the Pagetronic store reported that two African-American males had entered the store, both grabbed a display phone and pulled it the display stand and ran from the store. The two phones were valued at $1500.

INCIDENT:             Burglary

DATE / TIME:        11/10/2016 @ 0917 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:           300 Block of Creston Road, Chestertown (QA)

 

NARRATIVE:         Victim reported that sometime in the past two days, unknown person(s) had entered his locked shed and taken three aluminum ladders, a six foot, eight foot and twelve foot. The ladders were valued at $550.00

INCIDENT:             Theft from a Vehicle

DATE / TIME:        11/12/2016 @ 0523 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:           300 Block of White Marsh Road, Centreville

 

NARRATIVE:         Victim reported a shotgun and assorted hunting gear taken from the bed of his truck overnight. The truck was locked and had a bedcap which also locked, but it appears that lock was forced open.

 

Items taken include a Remington 870 20 gauge with a scope, Nikon 10X Prostaff 7 binoculars, a Bushnell Yardage range finder and a Camo hunting bag. Items had an estimated value of $1000.

INCIDENT:             DWI Arrest

DATE / TIME:        11/12/2016 @ 2054 Hours

LOCATION:           Double Creek Road, Chestertown, QA

NARRATIVE:         Deputy on patrol saw a blue Mustang driven at a high rate of speed comings towards him on Double Creek Road. The Mustang failed to negotiate a bend in the road, left the roadway into a field, drove thru a field a short distance before returning to the roadway.

 

The Mustang then drove away at a high rate of speed eventually stopping at a residence on Double Creek Road.

 

The driver, later identified as Richard Allen Taylor Jr. (27) of Chestertown (QA) by his state ID card advised he did not have a license and stated “I know, I came around the corner a little hot”. A computer check revealed that Taylor was suspended & revoked in Maryland and that he was wanted by Easton Police for a FTA on a court date in May 2016.

 

An odor of alcohol was present and several field sobriety tasks were attempted. At that time, Taylor was placed under arrest and charged with DWI, Traffic Citations and the FTA Bench Warrant.
