NARRATIVE:      Investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle, Sgt. Meyers located a red passenger car in the area. The vehicle was being operated over the posted speed limit and was stopped on Railroad Avenue in Centreville. Sgt. Meyers reports smelling a strong odor of alcohol and an open bottle of beer in the center console. After attempting field sobriety tasks, the driver Allen C. Griffin was placed under arrest and charged with DWI. He was later released on his signature to a parent.

LOCATION:        100 Outlet Drive, Queenstown, MD

VICTIM:                Female (29) of Ridgley, MD

 

NARRATIVE:      Deputies were dispatched to the outlets in Queenstown for a female with fresh lacerations to her wrist. Victim advised she had taken prescription medication and intentionally cut herself. She was transported by ambulance to Easton Memorial Hospital for treatment.

NARRATIVE:      Edward Ferns, President of the Bridgepoint Home Owners Association reported that four numeric block signs owned by the community had been broken in the middle. Each sign was valued at a replacement cost of $175 for a $700 total loss.

LOCATION:        200 Kent Landing Stevensville

VICTIM:                K-Mart

 

NARRATIVE:      Loss Prevention agent for the store reported to the Sheriff’s Office that a white female had been observed taking a pair of Ravens Slippers from the rack and placing them into her bag. The woman was then followed from the store, past all the checkout locations and then stopped. The women when contacted denied taking the slippers, refused to return to the store and then left in a vehicle. In addition to the tag number, the woman was identified by loss prevention because she has lay-away items currently at the store. The slippers were valued at $17.99. Charges are pending.

NARRATIVE:      Victim reported that a juvenile family member had visited and after leaving, she noticed an open window and a jar of loose change missing. The jar was estimated to contain $30-$40 dollars. Investigation led to the referral of the 16 year old male.

LOCATION:        400 Block of Spring Road, Millington

VICTIM:                Shirley Black of Millington

NARRATIVE:      Victim reported two pieces of farm equipment, a plow and a planter stolen from a farm she owns. A witness reported seeing two men loading the equipment onto a flatbed trailer towed by a red truck. Investigation of the incident resulted in checking local scrap yards and it was found that on the same day as the theft, two men had sold the plow and planter as scrap. Both pieces of equipment had been disassembled and portions destroyed preventing re-assembly. The stolen items were valued at over $3100. The two subjects were identified through records at the scrap yard which included copies of driver’s licenses. Charges against the two men are pending.

NARRATIVE:      Victim reported that someone during the night had taken an estimated $100 cash, $4 in change and prescription medication from the center console of his unlocked Jeep. No damage was done to the vehicle.

LOCATION:        Mainsail Drive, Stevensville

VICTIM:                Dawn Black of Stevensville

ARREST:              Tammy Lynn Lambert (47) of Chester

CHARGE:             Theft Scheme under $1K / Theft

 

NARRATIVE:      Victim reported that her credit card had been used fraudulently to pay for charges without her permission to Victoria’s Secret and Verizon Wireless. The victim was also able to identify a suspect after checking with the credit card company as purchases and payments were made by a person she knew. Access to the credit card information was obtained when the victim had allowed the suspect to use of the card to purchase lunch.

 

Charges for 174.97 to Victoria’s Secret were ordered and was being shipped to the suspect’s residence and charges from July to November in the total amount of 715.25 to Verizon wireless were made on a phone in the suspect’s son’s name.

 

Dfc. Kellogg contacted the suspect, Tammy Lambert and subsequently applied for and received an Arrest Warrant has been issued.

INCIDENT:           Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle

DATE / TIME:      Reported 12/14/2011 @ 2103 Hours

LOCATION:        500 Block of Zaidee Lane, Stevensville

VICTIM:                Scott C. Brengle of Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:                      Victim advised he left his home at 7PM on the 14th and when he returned he found his nephew, who he was letting stay at his residence gone along with his 2004 Chevy Malibu. The victim said that the nephew may go to the Baltimore Highlands area as that’s an area he frequents.Within a hour of the report, the victim called in to report that he had been contacted by Baltimore County Police and advised that the vehicle had been involved in an armed robbery in their area.

 

On 12/15 Anne Arundel County located the vehicle at a WaWa on Route 2 in Edgewater and upon approching the car, it drove away resulting in a police pursuit from edgewater, to Route 97 eventually ending in the Balltimore Highlands area. According to news sources the subject exited the car with a handgun, dropped the weapon and as he went to pick the gun up was shot by police.

 

Charges for Unathorized Use of a Motor Vehicle are pending against the 19 year old nephew.
