INCIDENT:           Burglary / Theft

DATE / TIME:      02/27/2015 @ 1648 Hours

LOCATION:         100 Block of Wye River Drive, Queenstown

NARRATIVE:       William Ganley reported that an Hitachi Air Compressor located at the location was missing and last seen on Monday the 23rd. Mr. Ganley was able to provide the model and serial number to the unit which was valued at $150.

A check of local pawn shops revealed the air compressor had been pawned in Chester on Monday the 23rd by Anthony Lamont Williams (62) of Grasonville.

A warrant was issued for Williams and he was arrested on March 5th at his residence. After processing he was held by a District Court Commissioner until a $3000 bond was posted.

DATE / TIME:      02/27/2015 @ 0840 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         3 Kent Town Market, Chester, MD

NARRATIVE:       Store Manager reported arriving to work and hearing the rear door alarm. Further inspection showed that a door had been forced open and three cash registers had been tampered with.  Nothing was reported missing and the damage was estimated at $500.

DATE / TIME:      02/28/2015 @ 2107 Hours

LOCATION:         500 Block of Broadcreek Drive, Stevensville, MD

NARRATIVE:       Donna Harrington reported she had returned from a trip to find that someone had forced entry into her home. The suspect had left evidence that several areas of the home had been searched.  The victim stated that a jewelry box and contents was missing. The jewelry was valued at an estimated $10,000. The burglary is believed to have occurred between February 12th to February 28th.

LOCATION:         100 Block of South Church Street, Sudlersville, MD

NARRATIVE:       Diana Jordan reported returning home and finding someone had entered her residence and taken her television. No sign of forced entry was located and the TV was a 32” Emerson valued at $150.

DATE / TIME:      03/07/2015 @ 1328 Hours

LOCATION:         500 Amberly Farm Lane, Queenstown, MD

NARRATIVE:       Employees at Hunters Oak Golf Course reported finding that someone had broken into the bar & restaurant and had taken several bottles of wine and liquor. Also a small safe had also been taken in the burglary. The incident occurred between the afternoon of March 6th and late morning on March 7th. The loss was estimated at $280 and damages estimated at $1300.

DATE / TIME:      03/08/2015 @ 1446 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         Fox Run, Grasonville, MD

NARRATIVE:       Carol Downey reported missing her wedding rings from her residence. Victim stated she had left them in a container near the sink sometime at the end of last month before leaving several days. Several days after returning, she went to put them on and discovered them gone. The only person known to be in the residence besides her husband was a service man repairing an item in the kitchen.

The rings were described as yellow gold with a 1 ½ Karat princess cut diamond with 2 smaller diamonds and a yellow gold wedding band with 5 smaller diamonds. The rings were valued at $3500.

DATE / TIME:      03/09/2015 @ 2321 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         100 Block of Jackson Creek, Grasonville, MD

NARRATIVE:       David Gill reported being away from his residence for a couple days and upon returning home found the residence in disarray with several work items, a change jar and several cordless drills missing. The work items included a Taser, baton pepper spray and a fugitive recovery badge. The items were valued at $1300. Case remains under investigation.

DATE / TIME:      03/09/2015 @ 1249 Hours

LOCATION:         3701 Main Street, Grasonville

NARRATIVE:       The bank manager at the Grasonville branch of Queenstown Bank reported a teller had cashed a business check that was fraudulent earlier that day. The suspect had also gone to other branches with additional checks attempting to cash them.

The suspect was described as an African-American male, estimated at 5’9 and 16o pounds dark complexion with short hair and a beard. He was driving a tan 4-door sedan possibly a Crown Vic or Grand Marquis.

Investigation remains open.

INCIDENT:           Domestic Assault

DATE / TIME:      03/09/2015 @ 1026 Hours

LOCATION:         100 Block of Kirwan’s Landing, Chester

NARRATIVE:       Deputies responded to the area for a reported assault. On arrival the victim, Conner J. Stewart reported his ex-girlfriend had arrived at the residence and immediately began to kick and scratch him on him neck, arm and leg. She then threw Gatorade on the carpet and walls of the house. Once outside again she began to throw rocks at him and struck him with a small garden shovel before leaving.

A second deputy stopped her vehicle a short distance from the residence. Kendall Noel Barnes (20) of Felton, Delaware was placed under arrest and charged with assault.

INCIDENT:           Medical Emergency / CDS

DATE / TIME:      03/11/2015 @ 2100 Hours

LOCATION:         Chester Plaza, Chester, MD.

NARRATIVE:       Emergency personnel responded to the McDonalds restaurant for a reported CDS overdose.  The victim had been found on the floor of the bathroom and in distress. EMS crew arrived and was able to revive the 24 year old Stevensville woman, who was then transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center.  A search of the bathroom located a used syringe with suspected heroin. Medics also located a small baggie of suspected marijuana while treating the female.

Charges are pending lab results.

LOCATION:         100 Block of Beach Harbor, Grasonville

NARRATIVE:       Bernard P. Kirklewski reported the theft of twelve batteries from his two golf carts stored for the winter at his trailer located in Beach Harbor. The theft occurred sometime after November 30th.  The batteries were valued at $200 each.

DATE / TIME:      03/12/2015 @ 0807 Hours

LOCATION:         Harborview, Chester

NARRATIVE:       Citizen report of an abandoned bicycle on Sherman Drive. Deputy responded and recovered the bike.  A computer check showed the bike had not been entered as stolen.  The bike can be claimed by the owner by calling the Sheriff’s Office at (410) 758-0770.
