INCIDENT:           CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute

DATE / TIME:      03/22/2017 @ 1313 Hours

LOCATION:         RT 18 @ Castle Marina Road Chester

 

ARREST:               Brian Labar Taylor (31) of Grasonville, MD

 

DETAILS:              The operator of a blue Dodge Charger was observed committing a minor traffic infraction and was stopped near Tackle Circle. The driver was identified as Brittany Lynn Barrett of Centreville who advised she did not have a driver’s license. The two passengers were identified as the owner of the car and Brian Labar Taylor.

 

A check revealed that Taylor was wanted on several outstanding warrants. Taylor was placed under arrest and during a search was found to have marijuana less than ten grams, suspected cocaine, 21 Clonazepam pills, three rectangle blue pills and several empty plastic baggies.

 

Taylor was charged with PWID of Clonazepam, 2 counts possession of CDS not marijuana, and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was also issued a citation for possession of marijuana under 10 grams.

 

Brittany L. Barrett was issued citations for driving a M/V while suspended or revoked and failure to display license upon demand.

INCIDENT:           Vehicle Theft

LOCATION:         Dudley’s Corner Road, Millington

 

DETAILS:              Victim reported his black 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 taken from his business sometime during the weekend. The truck was valued at $40,000.

INCIDENT:           Theft from Vehicle

DATE / TIME:      03/27/2017 @ 0827 Hours (Reported)

LOCATION:         Mowbray Park, Stevensville

 

DETAILS:              Victim reported attending a baseball tournament at Mowbray Park on Romancoke Road. She later found that someone had entered her van and removed four credit cards. Later in the day, she learned that the cards had used at Walmart and Best Buy stores in Bowie.

INCIDENT:           Possession of CDS

DATE / TIME:      03/30/2017 @ 1311 Hours

LOCATION:         Main Street, Grasonville

 

ARREST:               Brittany Lynn Barrett (26) of Chester

Chase Andrew Martell (21) of Centreville

 

DETAILS:              Deputy saw a blue 2005 Dodge Charger being driven on Main Street in Grasonville by Brittany Barrett. The deputy knew that she was suspended and stopped the car. Barrett stated she knew she was suspended but was only going a short distance.

 

During the stop, MSP K9 scanned the car with a positive alert. A search of the car resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine and heroin residue on multiple baggies.

 

Barrett was charged with driving while suspended, possession of CDS paraphernalia and possession of CDS – not marijuana. Martell was charged with possession of CDS – not marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

INCIDENT:           DWI

DATE / TIME:      03/31/2017 @ 0007 Hours

LOCATION:         RT 18 near Piney Creek Road, Chester

 

ARREST:               Kimberley Stevie Johnson (27) of Annapolis

 

DETAILS:              A blue Toyota SUV was seen running a stop sign coming off of Piney Creek Road onto RT 18. The deputy began to follow the SUV and clocked it at 52 in a posted 30 MPH zone. Contact with driver, identified as Kimberley Johnson, was made and an odor of alcohol was present. Johnson stated she had been at bar having two drinks while watching a band.

Johnson was asked to do several field sobriety tasks which she attempted. Based on observations, she was placed under arrest and charged with DWI. She was issued the paperwork for a DWI and later released to a family member.

LOCATION:         203 Outlet Center Drive, Queenstown

DETAILS:              Employee at the store reported two African American males ran from the store various clothing items valued nearly at $800.

INCIDENT:           DWI

DATE / TIME:      03/31/2017 @ 2203 Hours

LOCATION:         RT 50 @ Chester River Beach Road, Chester

 

ARREST:               John Phillip Getz Jr. (53) of Chester

 

DETAILS:              A black Chevy truck was seen on RT 50 with smoke coming from under the hood and something dragging from the truck.

When a stop was attempted, the truck continued on,  going down Chester River Beach Road. The driver attempted to turn into a driveway but went beyond the driveway. The driver then tried to turn around in the road, then stopped blocking the road.

 

Driver was identified as John Getz Jr. of Chester. A strong odor of alcohol and other indicators of impairment were present. Getz denied any drinking and agreed to try several Field sobriety tasks.

 

Once he finished attempting the tasks, he was placed under arrest for DWI. After the paperwork was completed, Getz was released. The truck couldn’t be started so it was pushed off the roadway.
