QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY DRUG TASK FORCE PRESS RELEASE

 

INCIDENT:           Queen Anne’s County Drug Task Force

DATE/TIME:         11/15/2011 @ 2120 hours

LOCATION:         121 4th Street, Crumpton, Queen Anne’s County, MD

 The QA Co. Drug Task Force served a “No Knock” Search & Seizure Warrant Tuesday evening in Crumpton.  The Entry was conducted by the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team.  Also assisting in the search warrant were uniform troopers from MSP Centreville and a MSP K9 from SOD. 

 Upon entry, a female occupant attempted to block the doorway of the master bedroom and another occupant ran into a second bedroom. The main suspect was located in the master bedroom and upon the SWAT Team confronting the suspect, he was secured.  The SWAT Team located a loaded Bauer .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun underneath the suspect’s chest on the bed. 

 Once all occupants and the residence were safely secured the residence was searched and the following was located and seized:

 A Bauer Firearms .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun loaded with 5 rounds of ammunition.; $1,811.00 in U.S. Currency; two cell phones; document evidence; a digital scale with trace cocaine; 63.2 grams (2.257 ounces) of cocaine with a street value of $6,320.00; a Leader .22 caliber revolver; a Cobra .32 caliber semi-automatic handgun with a magazine with 6 rounds of ammunition. 

 This investigation started during the first week of November after the Task Force received information from several sources that the suspect was actively distributing cocaine in the Crumpton and surrounding area.  After surveillance confirmed the information received a search warrant was obtained.  The suspect was arrested on 10-17-11 by MSP Centreville with the assistance of the Task Force for PWID cocaine (18 grams) and is currently out on a $30K bond for that arrest. 

 The suspect below was charged with the following:

 Anthony Kevon Todd (24) of 121 4th Street, Crumpton, MD

 PWID Cocaine

Possession of Cocaine

Possession of CDS Paraphernalia

3 counts of possessing a Firearm Nexus to a Drug Trafficking Crime Maintaining a Common Nuisance Possession of a firearm by a Convicted Felon

 Todd is being held without bail at the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center.

 On 10-6-11, the suspect (Todd) was a victim of a drive by shooting at his residence that is still under investigation by the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office.
