Recent Trainings at the Sheriffs Office

The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office continues to train and prepare to better serve the community. On May 23rd the Sheriff’s Office held a Table-Top exercise with area law enforcement, security & management personnel from the Outlets @ Queenstown, and local fire / EMS . Topics included planning for various emergencies at that location and improving services and responses.

 The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office also co-hosted with the Maryland Crime Prevention Association an In-Service training class “Current Trends” at the Bay County Moose on May 23rd & 24th. The two day class was attended by law enforcement officers from Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police and surrounding jurisdictions. The program provided attendees with an up to date look at prevention techniques dealing with current crime prevention concerns. Topics included Homeland Security, Victim Rights, Crime Prevention Update, Deviant Criminal Sexual Behavior, Sexting, Human Trafficking, and a Crime Prevention Overview.
