Incident Type: Shoplifting of Medication Location: Safeway Store, Nain Street, Chester, MD. Date/Time of Occurrence: 05/12/2008 @ 0857 Hours Victim Information: Safeway Store / Mgr. Bruce Moore Accused Information: Female Suspect Charges: Pending

Narrative:

On 5/12/2008 at 0857 Hours Bruce Moore, the manager at the Safeway called requesting assistance with a female subject observed taking over the counter medications from the store without paying.

Cpl. Troy Lowery responded and met with Mr. Moore who advised an employee observed a female subject leaving the store and dropping a bottle of Advil. At that time, it was noticed that her pocketbook was full of different boxes of medications. The female then left the store without purchasing anything and drove away in a cranberry colored convertible.

Video surveillance in the store showed the subject placing items in her purse while inside the store. An estimate of stolen items was at least $300 of various medicines.

Employees at the store were able to provide Cpl. Lowery of the suspect's name, from previous incidents of similar nature at that location.

Cpl. Lowery attempted to locate the subject without success at that time. Case remains open with pending charges.
