Narrative:

Acme Markets requested a Deputy to respond reference to an employee theft. Upon arrival of Deputy Pinkosz, he was met by the Store Director and a Loss Prevention Officer who advised they had an employee who had been stealing money from her cash register during her work shifts.

The employee, Carol Sue Reinking had been seen on surveillance video processing a customer and then voiding the sale, keeping the money after the customer left. This had occurred on several occasions beginning in May thru mid July. The register receipts and computer print outs verified the transactions.

Ms. Reinking advised she had taken the money to assist a family member's medical expenses. Upon being placed under arrest, she denied still having any of the money. A search of her pocket book resulted in the seizure of several bundles of cash totaling $629.00

Store Records indicated a loss of $8,278.00 during the time period under investigation.

After processing, Ms. Reinking had a bail of $7,000 placed on her by a District Court Commissioner.
