Narrative:

On July 22nd, 2008 at approximately 0100 hours, the Queen Anne%u219s County Sheriff%u219s Office was notified of a sexual assault in Grasonville. Detective Steve Stouffer responded and met with the parent of the victims. The parent advised that upon going into the bedroom of the two females (both under the age of ten) that a male subject known to the family was on the bed with the two sisters with his shirt pulled up. Further questioning of the girls revealed a series of abuses occurring since May of this year. The victims reported that they were threatened to be killed if they told their parent.

As a result of the investigation Ulysess Vernon Stowers ( 47) of Grasonville was charged with :

Rape 1st Degree Attempted 1st Degree Rape Rape 2nd Degree Attempted 2nd Degree Rape Assault 2nd Degree (2 Counts) Sex Offense 1st Degree (2 Counts) Sex Offense 2nd Degree (2 Counts) Sex Offense 3rd Degree (2 Counts) Sex Offense 4th Degree (2 Counts) Sex Abuse of a Minor Continued Course (2 Counts) Sex Abuse of a Minor (2 Counts) Perverted Practice (2 Counts)

Stowers was arrested at his place of employment on Tuesday and after processing, was seen by a District Court Commissioner who set a bail of $100,000. At a bail review on Wednesday in District Court the bail was ordered to remain by the Judge.
