Narrative:
On July 5th, 2007 Choptank Electric reported that twenty-six (26) poles on Stulltown Road, Felton School Road, Peters Corner Road and Sudlersville Cemetery Road had been damaged and copper wire removed. Each pole was missing approximately six feet of ground wires. The damage appeared to be consistent with someone cutting the wire with an axe or hatchet. Choptank Electric also advised that when the ground wires were cut it allowed stray electric current to ground an above ground pool in the area causing the owner to be shocked when touching the water.
The cost to repair the damage was $5,379.63.
Investigation of the incident was aided by a witness who provided a description of a vehicle and that the vehicle was seen parked at a residence just outside of Millington. Further investigation at several salvage yards provided additional descriptions and identification.
As a result, Charges have been issued for George Peter Thomas (22) with a last known address of 109 Pearce Road, Millington. Charges include Theft over $500, Theft under $500, Reckless Endangerment, MDOP over $500 and MDOP under $500.
Thomas is a white male 5'10, 130 pounds with brown hair and eyes. Anyone knowing his location is requested to notify the Queen Anne's County Sheriff or their local law enforcement agency.
