Incident: Theft -$100 Date & Time Reported: 1/29/2010 1337 hrs Location: 200 Kent Landing Stevensville, MD Victim K-mart
Suspect: Female (36) of Stevensville, MD
Narrative: Dfc. Pinkosz responded to K Mart for a shoplifting complaint. On arrival, the victim reported seeing a white female take cosmetic items from the shelf and place same in her left shirt sleeve and front coat pocket. The suspect then responded to the cash register area and purchased other items of makeup and candy for the two children with her. The suspect was detained by security until Pinkosz arrived. The items were returned to the store and an application for theft charges on the suspect were submitted to the District Court Commissioner. The total of the items stolen was $26 dollars.

Incident: D.W.I / Theft under $100 Date & Time Reported: 01/29/10 at 2048 Hours Location: 107 Dominion Rd., Chester, MD Victim: 7-11 Arrested: Brett E. Ramsey (21) of Stevensville Charges: Theft Under $100, DWI
Narrative: Dfc. Jordan was responding to the Chester 7/11 for a theft of a lighter that had just occurred. While responding, Jordan located the suspect vehicle traveling on Rt.8 at Batts Neck Rd in Stevensville. Jordan turned on the vehicle, followed the vehicle, and noticed it was weaving over the line and then pulled over the vehicle and made contact with the driver - Brett Ramsey. Ramsey was requested to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed and as a result was arrested for DUI. The reported stolen lighter was in plain view of the front seat. Contact was made with the employee/complainant at 7-11, who identified Ramsey as the suspect in the theft from the store earlier. While on the way to MSP Centreville Barrack for a breath test, Ramsey attempted to open the rear door. Jordan immediately pulled over and asked for assistance and MSP Trooper Pertain responded. Ramsey was then transported to Centreville Barrack for a breath test and afterward was transported to the Sheriff's Office for further processing and paperwork. At the Sheriff's Headquarters, Ramsey made statements that he would try to commit suicide. As a result, Ramsey was transported to Chester River Medical Center in Chestertown for treatment.

Incident: Medical Emergency Date & Time Reported: 1/30/10 at 0047 Location: Main Street, Stevensville, MD Victim: Male (18) of Haymarket, VA
Narrative: Dep. Foster responded to the Shore Stop at Benton's Crossing for a reported suicidal subject in yellow Chevy Corvette. Upon arrival, contact was made with the subject, who advised that he was having personal problems and was depressed. He added that he was planning on jumping off of the Bay Bridge. The male subject was polite and courteous and was transported to Anne Arundel Medical without incident for medical treatment.

Incident: Burglary Date & Time Reported: 01/21/10 at 2345 Hours Location: Maple Drive, Grasonville, MD Victim: Christopher Seligman of Grasonville
Narrative: The victim advised Dep. Foster that sometime between 1400 and 2345 on 1/21/10, unknown suspect(s) entered his secured home and stole $5,000 from an unsecured metal box. There were no signs of a forced entry. Further investigation has been assigned to the Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Unit.

Incident: Assault 2nd Date & Time Reported: 01/30/10 at 1850 Hours Location: 1416 Barclay Rd., Barclay, MD Victim: Dennis Cain of Barclay, MD
Narrative: Dfc. Goodman responded for a disturbance complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with Antonio Harris who reported he and his cousin had gotten into a physical altercation after an argument over the phone. There were no injuries. Both subjects were referred to District Court Commissioner's Office for criminal charges.
