INCIDENT:     Motor Vehicle Collision

DATE / TIME:     10/24/17 @ 04:48 AM

LOCATION:     Route 50 West Bound @ Duke Street Stevensville, MD

DETAILS:      Deputy responded to scene and found the single vehicle property damage accident.  At this time, it is unknown who the driver/occupants were.  A 1999 Dodge Dakota displaying Maryland historic tag appeared to have been travelling westbound on route 50 and attempted to exit onto Duke Street.  It appears the driver lost control of the vehicle and left the travel portion of the roadway.  The vehicle crossed a grass median and came to a stop after striking a dirt embankment.  The driver/occupants fled the scene.  The vehicle was disabled as a result of the accident and was partially blocking the roadway.  The tags displayed on the vehicle did not belong on the vehicle.  Parks Garage received a call requesting that they respond to the location and tow the vehicle to an address on the 2000 Block of Main Street.  After arriving on scene, Parks’ tow truck driver called 911 and requested police to respond.  Deputy Bush and Parks attempted to find the address with negative results.  Deputy Bush attempted to make contact with someone at an alternate address in the Stevensville area with negative results.  Parks towed the vehicle to their impound lot.  No further information at this time Investigation continuing.
