INCIDENT:          Theft from Vehicles

DATE / TIME:     01/12/2014 @ 0500 Hours

LOCATION:         Annapolis View Road / Forrest Garden Road, Stevensville

VICTIM:              Shanna Beisel of Stevensville

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim was out with her dog and spotted her purse on the ground near her residence, realizing someone had entered her unlocked Ford SUV during the night. Only a bank card was reported missing with no damage. An additional three vehicles in the area were located with broken windows

LOCATION:         107 Country Day Road, Chester

VICTIM:              Service First Collision Repair

 

NARRATIVE:       Owner of the business reported three vehicles at that location had their window shattered, a Ford Rollback truck, a Lexus and a Honda Civic. It appears that the vehicles were then rummaged thru. Nothing was reported stolen.

DATE / TIME:     01/13/2014 @ 1851 Hours

LOCATION:         600 Block of Main Street Church Hill

VICTIM:              Rhonda Copper of Church Hill

ARREST:              Kephes Cordell Copper(44) of Church Hill

CHARGE:            Assault

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported arguing with her husband, who allegedly swung a fan at her, grabbed her by the neck and punched her. Victim had visible minor injuries. Kephes Copper was at the location and placed under arrest.

 

After processing at the Sheriff’s Headquarters, a District Court Commissioner held him on a $25,000 bail.

INCIDENT:          Hit & Run Pedestrian

DATE / TIME:     01/14/2014 @ 2008 Hours

LOCATION:         Saddler Road & Jackson Creek Road, Grasonville

VICTIM:              Tyler R. Smith of Grasonville

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported he was jogging on Saddler road when headlights came up behind him so he started to move over towards the grass. At that time he was struck by an unknown vehicle causing him to fall into a ditch. Victim was transported to Queen Anne’s Emergency Room for injuries to his right foot / leg and his left arm.

LOCATION:         Chester River Heights Road, Millington

VICTIM:              East Coast Storage

 

NARRATIVE:       Bob Greenwald reported someone had cut a hole in the fence around the property and removed 4 tires from a Dodge van parked on the property. The value of the tires was estimated at $400 with $100 damage to the fence.

INCIDENT:          Burglary

DATE / TIME:     01/15/2014 @ 1237 Hours

LOCATION:         800 Block of Marion Quimby Drive, Stevensville

VICTIM:              James E. Nicholson

ARREST:              Mark August Whipkey (39) – No Fixed Address

CHARGE:            Burglary / Theft / Trespassing

 

NARRATIVE:       A resident in the area reported seeing a male, known as Mark Whipkey leaving a vacant apartment at Marion Quimby Drive. Deputy Hogan responded and checked the apartment finding it open. In the master bedroom area there was numerous beer cans and bags of trash. A pillow, a DVD player and clothing was located in another room and food in the refrigerator. The owner of the apartment was contacted and advised it should be vacant and no one in there.

 

Mark Whipkey was located and admitted to staying at the apartment as he had no fixed address. He was placed under arrest and charged with Burglary, Theft and Trespassing. After processing he was held on a $5000 bail.

LOCATION:         Church Hill Lane, Chester

VICTIM:              Kenneth Wolfe of Chester

ARREST:              Pending

CHARGE:            Theft

 

NARRATIVE:       Victim reported finding his rear gate to his residence open and his daughters Hyber Bicycle valued at $175 missing. Later in the day the victim saw a juvenile riding the bike in the area and confronted the juvenile who stated an older sibling had given the juvenile the bike.

 

Charges have been applied for an 18 year old male from Baltimore charging him with theft.
