INCIDENT:  Fraud

DATE / TIME:   02/09/2018 @ 1:35PM

LOCATION:  Gray Fox Ct. Stevensville, MD

VICTIM:  74yo female Stevensville, MD

DETAILS:   Dep. Barlow responded to Gray Fox Court in reference to a past fraud.  Upon arriving, Dep. Barlow learned that the victim wrote a check to a subject for some work that he had completed.  When the subject deposited the check, he was advised that the check had already been cashed.  This investigation is still open and being investigated.

INCIDENT:  Possession of CDS not Marijuana

DATE / TIME:   2/10/2018 @ 3:22PM

LOCATION:  Spring Road @ Pine Tree Road Chestertown, Md

ARRESTED:  Jack Thomas 29yo male Millington, MD

Possession of CDS not Marijuana

Possession of Paraphernalia

Several payable traffic offenses

DETAILS:   While patrolling, Dfc. Cooper observed a red ford mustang commit several traffic offenses.  Dfc. Cooper initiated a traffic stop on the mustang and made contact with the driver, Jack Thomas.  Dfc. Piasecki also responded and performed a K-9 scan on the vehicle which resulted in a positive result.  A search was conducted and a glass smoking device containing suspected crack cocaine and two spoons containing suspected residue were located.  Thomas was placed under arrest and was given a bond of $5,000 which he later posted.

INCIDENT:  Domestic Assault

DATE / TIME:   2/11/2018 @ 11:25AM

LOCATION:  Ackerman Road Stevensville, MD 21666

DETAILS:   Deputies responded to Ackerman Road in regards to a mother and her 14 year old son having a physical altercation.  Upon arrival Dep. Dickey made contact with both parties and learned the 14 year old pushed his mother on the couch and threatened her.  The juvenile will be referred to Juvenile Services.

INCIDENT:  Recovered Property / Theft

DATE / TIME:  2/11/2018 @ 4:00PM

LOCATION:  White Marsh Road Centreville, MD 21617

DETAILS: Residents of the White Marsh Road area recovered several boxes and packages on the side of the road while on their way home.  All of the boxes were opened and some of them still had the package inside the box.  The residents transported the packages to the Sheriff’s Office where they were handed over to Sgt. Lowery.  All of the packages were from the Bennett Point Road area.  Investigation is ongoing.

INCIDENT:   Fraud / Forgery

DATE / TIME:   02/12/18 @ 07:12 PM

LOCATION:    Royal Farms Store @ 32303 Queen Anne Hwy. Queen Anne, MD

COMPLAINANT:   56 yr. old black female from Ridgely, MD

DETAILS:          Complainant advised that she had purchased gas at the above reference business on 02/09/18 at approximately 09:30 AM with a debit card.  Complainant provided her daughter the same card on 02/12/18 to purchase gas again at which time it was declined.  Upon investigating the complainant learned that all funds in her account had been depleted.  The complainant contacted her bank and learned that there were four (4) charges totaling over $323 that had been made on her debit card in the state of North Carolina.  The complainant has not traveled to North Carolina during this time period and she is still in possession of her debit card.  The complainant has been reimbursed for the unauthorized charges.  Investigation is continuing.
