INCIDENT:     Controlled Dangerous Substance Violation

DATE / TIME:            02/02/18 @ 05:56 AM

LOCATION:  Bay Away Pet Resort, 300 Block of Cherry Lane Queenstown, MD

VICTIM:  31 yr. old white female from Queenstown, MD

ARRESTED:  24 yr. old white male from Goldsboro, MD

DETAILS:  Deputies responded to a reported burglary in progress.  Upon arrival contact was made with the defendant who was located in the kennel area of the business.  The defendant advised that he had permission to be on location, and that he was meeting his mother (an employee) there to assist her with work.  The owner of the business, advised that they did not wish to pursue burglary charges against the defendant, however he was no longer allowed to be on the property.  During the investigation, the defendant was found to be in possession of what appeared to be heroin.  Subsequently the defendant was arrested and charged for the violation.  Later, a court commissioner released the defendant on his personal recognizance.

INCIDENT:     Fraud / Forgery

DATE / TIME:            02/02/18 @ 10:47 AM

LOCATION:     300 Block of Spotted Fawn Court, Centreville, MD

COMPLAINANT:  43 yr. old white male from Centreville, MD

DETAILS:   Complainant advised that an unknown suspect had opened a credit card account under his name and had made multiple transactions out of state (New Hampshire) using this fraudulent account.  The complainant has already been in contact with an Identity Theft Company who is assisting him with this investigation.  The card which was opened via TD Bank has been used multiple times and has totaled over $1400 in fraudulent charges.  Case investigation is ongoing.

INCIDENT:     Motor Vehicle Collision – Property Damage

DATE / TIME:             02/03/18 @ 05:59 AM

LOCATION:   Batts Neck Road near Route 8, Stevensville, MD

DRIVER:        22 yr. old Hispanic male from Annapolis, MD

INVOLVED VEHICLE:  2012 Honda Accord, MD registration 8CD8882

DETAILS:    Deputies responded to the area for a single vehicle accident.  Upon arrival deputies learned the following facts:  the vehicle turned left off Route 8 onto Batts Neck Road.  After traveling several hundred feet on Batts Neck Road, the driver failed to stay in the traffic lane, left the roadway and the vehicle entered the drainage ditch.  The vehicle rolled over before coming to a rest on its roof.  EMS responded and evaluated the driver for injuries.  The driver had no apparent injuries and refused transport to a medical facility.  Ted’s Towing removed the vehicle.  The driver was not impaired by drugs or alcohol.

INCIDENT:      Recovered Property

DATE / TIME:            02/03/18 @ 08:55 AM

LOCATION:  1100 Block of Chesapeake Drive, Stevensville, MD

COMPLAINANT:  57 yr. old white female from Stevensville, MD

DETAILS:     Complainant advised she was sorting through family property and had come across some old ammunition which she believed had once belonged to her late uncle from many years ago.  The complainant stated that she did not wish to keep the ammunition and requested that the Office of the Sheriff dispose of the property for her.  The ammunition was provided to Sgt. J. Davidson who has made arrangements to discard the ammunition appropriately.

INCIDENT:     Malicious Destruction of Property (MDOP)

DATE / TIME:            02/04/18 @ 12:26 PM

LOCATION:  100 Block of Taylor Road, Centreville, MD

COMPLAINANT:  75 yr. old white male from Centreville, MD

DETAILS:   Complainant advised upon awaking @ approximately 11:00 AM, he found the following damage to his property:  his mailbox was turned over on its side causing damage; a lawn statue in front of his porch had been knocked over; one of the solar lights positioned next to the statue was also smashed and broken into pieces.  The complainant believes this incident may have occurred between 01:00 AM and 06:00 AM.  The complainant estimated the total cost of the destruction to be around $125.  If anyone has information regarding this incident, they are asked to contact Deputy Pack at the Office of the Sheriff.  Investigation is ongoing.

INCIDENT:                             Burglary with Assault

DATE AND TIME REPORTED:                    2/3/18       0030 hours

LOCATION:                           100 Block of Tennessee Road Stevensville, MD

ARRESTED:                           Heather Sweet of Stevensville, MD

 

NARRATIVE:             Deputy Thomas responded to the 100 Block of Tennessee Road in Stevensville, MD for an assault that had just occurred. Upon arrival he met with the involved parties who were still on scene. It was determined that the suspect came to the victim’s house and attempted to make contact with another individual inside the home. After the suspect was denied entry into the residence, the suspect forced entry into the house and assaulted the victim. The suspect was subsequently placed under arrest for criminal charges including burglary and assault.  Sweet was held at the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center on No Bond.

INCIDENT:                             Driving under the Influence of Alcohol

DATE AND TIME REPORTED:        2/3/18       0038 hours

LOCATION:                           Route 8 @ Batts Neck Road Stevensville, MD

ARRESTED:                           Alexander Romano of Stevensville, MD

NARRATIVE:                         Dfc. Neall was responding to an unrelated incident when he observed a vehicle traveling at high rate of speed on Route 8  in the area of Batts Neck Road. Dfc. Neall utilized radar to determine that the vehicle was traveling over 100 miles per hour. Dfc. Neall stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver. Several indicators and tests would eventually lead to the driver being placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. Several citations were issued and the driver was later released on scene to a sober adult.

INCIDENT:    Burglary

DATE / TIME:  2/5/18 at 12:56PM

LOCATION:  300 Blk Kehm Rd., Queenstown, Md. 21658

DETAIL:    QACSO units responded for a past burglary complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with the caller/victim. She advised that sometime between 1/26/18 and 1/28/18, unknown suspect(s) entered her residence and stole some assorted tools, valued at approximately $100. The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Office of the Sheriff for Queen Anne’s County.
