QA SHERIFF PRESS RELEASES

 

INCIDENT:           Theft

DATE/TIME:        05/03/2012 @ 1434 Hours

LOCATION:         North County Area near Sudlersville

VICTIM:               Queen Anne’s County

ARREST:               Male (20) of Grasonville

                              Male (19) of Chester

 

NARRATIVE:        County Roads Department had been contacted by an electric company employee who advised he had seen several road signs behind a residence on Everett Road. Dfc. Kellogg responded and located two stop signs and five road signs, Duhamel Corner Road (2), Busic Church Road (2) and Peters Corner Road (1).

 

While at the location, a resident of the home arrived and admitted that along with another subject, they had taken the signs when they were drunk one night.

 

Applications for charges for both suspects have been submitted to the District Court Commissioner.

 

** Update: On 5/7/2012 Charges were issued for Robert Colton Green (19) of Chester and Jake Windsor Riley of (21) of Grasonville charging both subjects with Theft under $1000. Riley was served a Criminal Summons on May 8th. An Arrest Warrant remains active at this time for Green.

INCIDENT:           Assault

DATE/TIME:        05/08/2012 @ 0034 Hours

LOCATION:         400 Block of Calvert Road, Stevensville

VICTIM:               Brenda A. Cohee of Stevensville

ARREST:               Donald Matthew Cohee Sr. (52) of Stevensville

CHARGE:              Assault 2nd Degree

 

NARRATIVE:        Deputies responded top residence for a reported domestic. Victim reported she was in a conversation with her son and when Mr. Cohee arrived home began an verbal altercation with her. It reportedly escalated into Mr. Cohee grabbing the victim by the arm and shoving her into a door. Victim had visible bruises consistent with her report. Mr. Cohee was placed under arrest and taken to Sheriff’s Headquarters for processing. A District Court Commissioner later released him on his own recognizance.

LOCATION:         Marion Quimby Drive, Stevensville

VICTIM:               Unknown

 

NARRATIVE:        Citizen report of two bicycles left for several days at the parking lot in the 1200 block of Marion Quimby Drive. Deputy responded and took possession of the bikes. The owners can claim the bikes by contacting the QA Sheriff’s Office at (410) 758 – 0770 extension 1255.
